The Guru Guide

by Joseph Boyett and Jimmie Boyett

The Guru Guide manages to synthesise many of the conflicting views surrounding each theory and through the authors' own discussion, the reader comes away with an alternative perspective. The presentation is accessible, with diagrams, lists and tables all playing a part in explaining the ideas and a summary of the key points closing each chapter. The end result is a book which bridges nicely the divide between academia and the real world: students of management theory may find it useful, but so will employees trying to improve their own, and their company's, performance.
